Port infrastructure

The ports of Gros-Cacouna, Rimouski, Matane and Gaspé will become the property of the ministère des Transports du Québec on March 30, 2020. The ports play a strategic role in the commercial and economic development of these regions.

The Société du parc industriel et portuaire de Bécancour (SPIPB) was mandated by the gouvernement du Québec to develop a corporation with the responsibility to manage the four ports, namely the Société portuaire du Bas-Saint-Laurent et de la Gaspésie inc.

Please note that additional information will be added to this page before the effective date of the transfer of administration.

For any emergency, please contact the harbour master. If this person cannot be reached, dial 819 384-4048 for immediate assistance.
