​​The Ministère’s actions regarding road safety include:

• Developing and reviewing standards
• Designing, normalizing and promoting signage
• Analyzing intersections and road segments that could pose risks

Road safety, which is a shared responsibility with the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), is a key concern for the Ministère. Together, the SAAQ and the Ministère prepared the Road component of the transport safety policy and ensure it is enforced.
